An important event coming up on November 3rd, is the Lodge Training. At the training members of our lodge lead classes that inform you about things ranging from communications to Native American dancing. Even if you have attended one before you still learn things and there will be reformed classes with new information handed down from national. This is free to all members and a free lunch is included. The training starts at 8:30 am--5:00 pm at the LDS Church in Sacramento. If you need a ride talk to me and I am sure we can find you a ride. After the training we will be having our Lodge Dinner. At the dinner various awards and recognitions for distinguished members of our Lodge. The food is catered and is very good. The cost of the dinner is $18.00 and is at the same location as the training. Registration is to be received by October 29th and can be done online at http://oa.gec-bsa.org

Conclave/Fall Fellowship (10/7/07): A few of us headed down to Bakersfield for Conclave and had a great time. Fall Fellowship is next weekend and should be even more fun, so sign up now and we'll see you there.

New Members and Other News (5/20/07): We just returned from the Lassen Ordeal and we have 14 new members (2 adults and 12 youth). We are welcoming the new members at Oasis Fun Center on Monday, come on out and join us. James P. is putting together a dance team, contact him if you are interested. Conclave is coming up in September, register by May 26th and receive a $5 fee reduction. Ordeal season is upon us, if you have people in your troop that were elected and haven't gone through an ordeal yet, please encourage them to attend the next ordeal.

New Chapter Adviser (11/22/06): We have a new Chapter Adviser!. As of Monday 11/20 our Chapter Adviser is Bill East. If you have been attending any district or OA events recently, you know Bill. He is very eager to help out our chapter and has some great ideas to get us going. As for me, I will still be helping out the chapter as much as I can in addition to my duties as the Lodge Camping Adviser. I will also keep the website as up-to-date as I can. Hopefully this has been a help to some of our members. Thanks to those who have helped me out during my time as Chapter Adviser.

Chapter Dinner (11/22/06): We installed our new chapter officers on Monday November 20th at our annual Chapter Dinner. We had some great food and a chance to visit. Thanks to all who attended! And thanks to our Lodge Chief and Vice Chief who came all the way up from Sacramento.

We will leave some time around 8:00 so we can be there around 11:00. We will coordinate rides as we get closer. Please send me a message and tell me if you are going so I can get you on the list to get in free..

May Meeting (4/26/06): Don't forget that our May meeting is on the fourth Monday (May 22) just after the Lassen Ordeal so we can go bowling with the new members. We will be meeting at Shasta Lanes for an hour or so of bowling, bring $5 or $7. We will confirm the amount as we get closer.

MB Pow Wow (1/29/06): Looks like we made the right decision on the tipi. I don't know what hall we would have rented to dry the thing out.

Tipi Update (1/26/06): Well, the forecast for Saturday is somewhere between 80 and 100 percent chance of rain. So, lets shoot for setting up the tipi at the March MB Pow Wow, not this one. See you there...

Tipi Update (1/24/06): Check the website Friday night to see if we plan on setting up the tipi on Saturday. If we do set it up, we will probably start at 7:00. I don't see a need to get you guys out there too early.  We won't be done by flags, but it'll give us something to do all day.
